Vitamin A and Hair loss

I am 4 years out and have been struggling with hairloss ever since surgery.  I lost a ton of my once beautiful mane after surgery and it never grew back and looked thin and fragile.  I figured this was the price I had to pay for the amazing gift I received, so I lived with it.  Then I was watching the Dr. Oz show about Women and Hair Loss and he said the too much Vitamin A can cause hairloss.

Light goes off!  I cut down my Vitamin A to a couple of times a week and... I don't know if its coincidental... but my hair is growing back and is much fuller!

Don't just take my word for it, check with your Doc first.

Also I'm using the Amazing 10 spray, it's expensive, but works great!

Did you get ERNY? If so it'd help if you put that in your signature. 26lb in 6 months sounds OK for a revision.

My question was to Yvettetas as she said she had her pyloric valve removed.

I was a "lightweight" and was 241 when I started, so that might make a difference, I don't know.  In the beginning it comes off fast, I lost a total of 90 lbs. in about 11 mos.

Well, that's interesting about the A.  It's the one vitamin I have never been able to get up to where I want it.  I will now stop trying.  I never lost any hair and still need mine thinned during hair cuts.  I've always gotten in at least 90 grams of protein since day one, usually over 140 per day.

Were there any studies to back up Dr. Oz's assertion? I trust him about as far as I can throw my house. I am not saying it isn't true, I just have to have back-up.

All that being said, too low of vitamin A can cause night blindness and worse so if my numbers were low, I would have to pick.  I take 50,000ius of A a day but I have never lost any hair. I might feel differently if I did.
